Phuket, on the other side of the Thailand peninsula, has now begun accepting vaccinated tourists as a trial for the rest of Thailand. If this test proves successful and goes off without a hitch, we can expect the same regulations to be expanded through to Samui three months later. A panel chaired by Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-Och, himself, gave Phuket the go-ahead to start accepting fully vaccinated tourists without the need for quarantine. Viva la Re-Opening.
